2022 11q Research & Resource Group: Family Conference Registration

We are excited to announce that the 2022 11q Research and Resource Group Conference will be held July 5-8, 2022 in Arlington, VA right outside of Washington DC.  The conference will be held at the Doubletree Washington DC/Crystal City (300 Army Navy Dr. Arlington, VA 22202) and rooms are available for those attending the conference at a discounted rate of $164 a night. We have a limited number of rooms at the discounted rate, so the sooner you book, the better chance you have of taking advantage of the discounted rate!

Registration for the conference is now open and the cost is $100 per adult and $50 per child. Individuals with 11q are free. Registration fees include opening luncheon, all speaker and breakout sessions, adult reception, family picnic and conference t-shirts. We appreciate early registration so we can get an idea of how many are attending and plan accordingly. Children’s program registration and Sibling Workshop registration are also available on our website. We have a limited number of slots in the children’s program, so if you want to ensure a slot for your child/ren, please register early.

For those flying into DC for the conference, there are 3 major airports in the DC area (Reagan National, Dulles and BWI). The closest to the hotel is Reagan National and the hotel offers a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel as well as a free shuttle to and from the closest Metro stop to the hotel.

After consulting with doctors as well as well as reviewing local and national guidelines for gatherings such as our conference, and in the best interest of those in our population with weakened immune systems, we will be instituting a COVID-19 vaccination requirement for everyone ages 5 and older in order to attend the 11q Research and Resource Group Family Conference in person July 5-8, 2022. Exceptions will be made for those with doctor’s notes explaining why an individual cannot have the COVID-19 vaccine, but those individuals will be required to have a negative test to attend each day. Additional requirements may be added for everyone, including those who are vaccinated, if circumstances change before the event and warrant any changes to our policy. We understand that some people will be upset and disagree with this requirement, but please understand that we must first and foremost protect our children with 11q disorders and weakened immune systems that will be attending this conference. Most of the conference sessions will be live streamed so those not attending in person can still participate in the sessions online.
